Stock markets fall, after news of Corona infection to Trump
US stock futures traded and Asian markets fell after news of the Covid-19 transition to US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump. On the other hand, on October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, today (on Friday) domestic stocks, currency and commodity markets are closed. Both the S&P 500 and the Dow Industrial futures contract briefly fell more than two per cent. Later, they were trading at a loss of 1.4 percent. Apart from this, the prices of crude oil also slipped more than three percent.
Trump tweeted that he was infected with the Coronavirus. Earlier, senior White House official Hope Hicks was found infected with the virus. Hicks has travelled with the president several times this week. Among the Asian markets, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were closed on Friday. Japan’s Nikki lost 0.7 per cent to 23,029.90 points after losing the initial profit. Australia’s benchmark S&P / ASX 200 broke 1.4 percent. Markets in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia also declined.
