A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator in Maharashtra has allegedly accused the Shiv Sena workers of beating up a retired Ex-Navy officer just for sharing a cartoon on Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. Atul Bhatkalkar, BJP MLA has accused the Sena workers claiming that they have beaten up an old Navy officer very badly for which he got injured too.
The MLA recently has shared a video clip, through which it could be easily depicted that six goons were there inside a residential property and they dragged the Navy officer by his collar and are found to slap him continuously in his face multiple times. The MLA also stated that the ruling Shiv Sena, which recently just sabotaged actress Kangana Ranaut’s office has now done a more dreadful activity based on their Governmental party powers. They have beaten up the ex-navy officer so badly that he has got one of his eyes badly injured and is now being treated up in the hospital for the same. Also, he stated in his tweet that, the Chief Minister is now running a dictatorship.
The victim officer has filed an FIR in this matter at Samta Nagar police station in the Kandivali region. Also, Dilip Sawant, the North Region Additional Commissioner has said that the action will be surely taken against those responsible for the attack.
Reacting to this drastic incident that took place with the Navy Officer by the Shiv Sena workers, Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis expressed his shock towards this incident and asked CM Uddhav Thackeray to stop his ongoing “Gundaraj”. He tweeted, “Extremely sad & shocking incident. Retired Naval Officer got beaten up by goons because of just a Whatsapp forward. Please stop this privileged gundaraj Hon. Uddhav Thackeray Ji. We demand strong action and punishment for these goons.” Also. Another BJP leader demanded strong action against this Shiv Sena goons or else, he said, we will stage a dharna outside the Kandivali East Police Station.
Actor Kangana Ranaut, who recently faced an attack by the government, by the BMC which issued a notice against her building in Khar, West to “stop work”, as it involved some illegal portions which they demolished also reacted in this incident. She has already opposed Uddhav Thackeray directly in a video clip and through her tweets regarding the forced demolition of her building which was set to cast for her new film, “Ayodhya”, which she regarded to as the breaking of “Ram Mandir” once again and said, History will once again be repeated. But, she refused to step back and said, the temple will be built once again. She retweeted to that video clip incident which showed the Ex-Navy officer being beaten up with the caption: “Shame”.
“The ruling Government of Maharashtra and CM Uddhav Thackeray is now faced with a new challenge and BJP leaders are demanding strong action by the Mumbai Police.”
