TikTok has been removed from Google Play and Apple Store following a central government order. Tiktok is among the 59 Chinese apps that have been banned in India. Tiktok issued a statement on the matter saying that we do not share the data of any user with any country. Even if it is China.
Nikhil Gandhi, the head of Tiktok India, said, ‘The Indian government has issued an interim order to ban a total of 59 apps including Tiktok. We are following the order of the government. We have been invited to meet with the concerned government officials to give their clarification. Tiktok is committed to user privacy and security as per the Indian law.

He said, ‘Ticketlock does not share any kind of information of the user with the government of any other country, even if it is in China. Further, if we are asked for any user information, we will not do so. We give utmost importance to user privacy and integrity. ‘
According to Nikhil Gandhi, Tiktok serves 14 Indian languages under a democratic system. Tittock has about 100 million subscribers in India. These include people like artists, storytellers, academics.
TikTok has more than 200 million users in the country and this app is one of the top 10 apps in the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. At the same time, most of the other apps banned by the government are still available on Play Store and App Store.
