Pakistan reopened the Kartarpur corridor on Monday after more than three months. The corridor was temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 epidemic. A top official gave this information. The official said that but no Indian pilgrim came to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.
India has temporarily postponed travel and registration for Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan in the wake of Corona virus epidemic. Pakistan reopened the Kartarpur corridor today, Evacuey Trust Property Board (ETPB) Deputy Director Imran Khan told PTI. However no Indian pilgrims traveled.
He said that special Ardas were performed at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur. He said, devotees of Pakistan and India have been allowed to visit Darbar Sahib, following the rules of maintaining social distance.
The ETPB and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee have made special arrangements for the safety of the devotees. Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that Pakistan is reopening the Kartarpur Sahib corridor for Sikh devotees. Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara is located in Narowal district of Pakistan.
