Shock to Pakistan ahead of England tour; 10 players withdraw from Covid-19 Test positive

On 28 June, 10 players of the Pakistan team, who are going to tour England, have left the team due to positive in the Coronavirus test. The PCB had conducted the Covid-19 test for 29 players leaving for England tour. Apart from Hafeez, the result of nine players and one official came positive. The players who have missed the tour include Imran Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Fakhar Zaman, Hyder Ali, Harris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan, Kashif Bhatti, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz. Pakistan has to play three Tests and the same number of T20 matches with England in this tour.

England are ready to host Pakistan even after 10 players of the Pakistan cricket team came positive in the Corona Test conducted by the Report Board. As of now, no announcement has been made about the series dates. Due to Corona epidemic, all the matches of the Test and T20 series will be held in the empty stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has quarantined all 10 Corona positive players, including Mohammad Hafeez, at home. The rest of the players of the selected team going on tour, who were found to be negative in the Corona Test, were all tested again on 25 June and the result has come to that day.

The statement from the England Cricket Board said that Pakistan’s team would have to go through a 14-day quarantine period, during which they would be isolated at the Blackfinch New Road in Worcester.
