Delhi Election 2020 Voting Day: As of 4 pm, 42.7 percent polling was recorded in the Delhi Assembly elections. Due to the mild cold in the morning, the number of voters at the polling stations was seen less but by the afternoon the number of people voting had increased. Voting is going on peacefully in Shaheen Bagh too. Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, former President Hamid Ansari, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and many other leaders voted in Delhi.
In Laxmi Nagar, a groom voted before going to the wedding ceremony and danced fiercely to his family members at the booth. Polling started late due to technical fault in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in several areas including Yamuna Vihar in the capital. Voting began for the 70 seats of the Delhi Legislative Assembly amid tight security arrangements at 8 am today which will continue till 6 pm. There are a total of one crore 47 lakh 86 thousand 382 voters in Delhi this time. The counting of votes will take place on 11 February.
